Good question Helen!
I prefer Linkedin for sales and technical recruiting, tweeter can be fun for marketing and pushing out a message to your audience! These are all great tools to use in addition to your traditional recruiting ie: internet postings, internet sourcing, employee referrals, and of course Direct Sourcing!
