Career MetaSearch is a company that goes after passive candidates using search engine technology. What does that mean?
It means that SEO is a new tool in your recruiting arsenal. The CEO, Jason Gorham, writes a blog (that also is published on ERE).
The basics of the company? More people are using search, and thus companies should start targeting search engines for job posting placement and passive candidate discovery.
If a developer is searching for DotNetNuke in Charlotte, and you are looking for a DotNetNuke developer, CareerMetaSearch inserts and optimizes your content to catch that person's eye when they type in search results.
It's similar to the push to create PPC ads for job postings, but I believe Jason and his crew have been at the forefront of this, selling it before it got cool.
For the record, I haven't talked with CareerMetaSearch and don't know Gorham personally, but I like the idea.
